We are experienced in resolving the most common and stressful issues, including:

Every session is practical and focused on solving the problems you are facing right now. We also teach you how to maintain progress long after training ends, so your dog’s new behaviour becomes their normal.

We understand that each dog and owner is different, which is why our programmes are always adapted to your needs. Whether you need support with a young dog learning boundaries or an older dog with ingrained habits, our methods are clear, fair and effective.

The Dog Training Programme That Delivers Results

Our 8-week programme combines in-person training sessions with remote support, so you are never left wondering what to do next. Each visit lasts 90 minutes to 2 hours, giving us time to work through real-life situations and build your handling skills.

You will also join weekly Zoom calls where we cover everything from play techniques to understanding your dog’s drives. Between sessions, you have direct access to us via WhatsApp for feedback, video critiques and problem solving.

This complete support structure means you can keep progressing at home, confident that help is always available. Many of our clients in Weybridge see significant changes within the first two weeks, with improvements building steadily as the programme continues.

Our work is backed by a full money-back guarantee if you do not have a significantly better-behaved dog at the end of the 8 weeks.

Enzo, our 23 month old Spinone cross just crazy about dogs and people. When he was a puppy we did what we thought was right and enrolled in a 12 week puppy class. It was helpful in many ways, but with 19 other puppies there, Enzo also learned that playing with every dog he met was acceptable — which, as we know, isn’t always the case in the real world. Over time, this meant he would lunge on lead, desperate to greet other dogs, and when off lead, he’d often run straight up to them, full of enthusiasm but lacking in manners. His recall would disappear the moment something more exciting appeared. He has also run over to people and jumped, again to say Hi which on a few occasions got us into trouble. Walks became more stressful. I found myself constantly watching for other dogs or people, and although I love giving Enzo time off lead, I often chose quieter routes to avoid potential encounters. Otherwise, we stuck to on-lead walks. I tried a few gun dogs sessions to work on his heel walking and to also encourage more focussed play outside in an attempt to be the most exciting thing on our walks. Enzo is 31kg and not fully grown, I was losing my confidence a bit when walking him and always worried whether I’d be able to control him or get him back if he ran over to someone. I have been following Loose Lead Club on social media for a while and liked Paul’s direct, basic approach. After a month or so of weighing up the expense we decided to take the plunge and invest in professional training to help. Even though we are outside of Paul’s catchment area, after our initial chat, we agreed that we could meet halfway in a suitable setting for Enzo (and my) training. Before the first 1-2-1 session Paul had sent over a video introduction and homework with a rules that had to be carried out everyday during the 8 week programme and some will be ongoing. Even after a few subtle changes were implemented in our home we began to see a difference, Enzo was calmer. I even stopped the calming supplements that I had been giving him and turned off the diffuser that we permanently had switched on. In our first session, Paul had Enzo walking to heel past his own dogs, Rocky and Reggie, without any issues. He was clearly interested, but with calm, confident guidance, he walked on as if nothing else mattered. Eight weeks later, we have a dog who listens, checks in, follows a clear command system, and can walk calmly — even off lead — past people and dogs. I genuinely didn’t think this was possible. I also feel far more confident with the tools and techniques Paul has taught me. I feel Enzo and I now have a stronger bond and a mutual respect. We are still work in progress but now we have a solid foundation to build on. Paul’s has challenged us at times and it hasn’t always been comfortable but it’s been so worth it. I would recommend Paul and Loose Lead Club without hesitation. Thank you 🐾

Cooper is a 1.5 year old Labrador Retriever, he is very clever and excitable however his excitement often lead to playful aggression. He would redirect his aggression on to us - jumping, biting, growling, often times pinning us up against a wall, on more than one occasion he has been called feral. Even putting a collar and lead on him would set him off and I would be close to tears before I have even walked him. We were unable to take him anywhere with us due to Cooper being unable to switch off and relax, as doing nothing, would also set Cooper off. Contacting the Loose Lead Club was my last resort. On the first session Paul worked with us to find a calm technique on getting the collar and lead on Cooper without setting him off. Due to my physical limitations we had to try a few different ways, Paul was calm and patient through out it all, and after introducing the E-Collar, Cooper has sailed through the programme, allowing him to have more freedom, while still feeling like we are in control. Through a number of 1:1 sessions and zoom calls, Paul not only showed us techniques on training Cooper but also explained the importance of understanding the why’s behind your dogs behaviour, allowing us to gain more confidence in dealing with Cooper. After implanting the structures and boundaries suggested by Paul, I feel like I have a completely different dog, even family members have commented on how much more relaxed Cooper is. After previously having to keep Cooper and my young niece and nephews in separate rooms because the noise and playing would set off Cooper, they can now roam calmly in the house together. I would 100% recommend the Loose Lead Club to anyone that is struggling with their dog, whatever the issue may be. Paul has not only changed my relationship with Cooper but has also given Cooper freedom and a much more relaxed mind set.

I reached out to Paul & Jake (LLC) for help with my 18-month-old standard wirehaired Dachshund, Lupin, who had become incredibly difficult to manage. Walks were so stressful they often ended in tears, and I was truly at my wits’ end. Lupin had an intense prey drive—zero focus or engagement outdoors, no recall, no interest in food, and absolutely no response to commands. He pulled constantly, barked at everything, and chased cars, bikes, motorbikes, and even joggers—behaviours that were becoming dangerous. At home, he was demanding, reactive to every noise (a nightmare in South East London), and lacked any sense of boundaries. We stopped taking him to friends’ homes or public places because his behaviour—especially around children—was just too overwhelming. We were seriously considering rehoming him if we couldn’t find a solution. I had been following LLC from afar since getting Lupin and only regret not contacting them sooner. From our very first session with Jake, the change in Lupin was immediate and remarkable. He became more settled at home, and his behaviour outdoors improved drastically. He’s now walking to heel, his recall has dramatically improved, and most importantly—walks are actually enjoyable! The structure and boundaries Paul & Jake introduced were challenging at first, but absolutely worth it. Their program, especially with the support of tools like the e-collar, completely transformed our lives—for the better. I now feel confident, educated, and empowered to continue Lupin’s progress on my own. Lupin is still a work in progress (as all dogs are), but we’ve come so far. He’s engaged, responsive, and the relationship we have now is stronger than ever. Paul & Jake didn’t just train my dog—they gave us a foundation for long-term success and a renewed bond. I wholeheartedly recommend LLC to any dog owner struggling with behaviour issues. This program doesn’t just change your dog—it changes your understanding, your confidence, and the way you communicate with your dog. The difference is night and day. Thank you, Paul & Jake—you’ve truly changed our lives. 🐾

The best decision we’ve made as dog owners! After debating for a few months if Ida’s poor recall needed addressing by a professional, we couldn’t be more happy with the decision to speak to Paul at LLC. Ida has always been a brilliant dog, loves people and other dogs equally, happy to sit in a pub or chill on the sofa… but… let her loose in the park or a forest and that was it - a waiting game for when she decided she’d come back. As for getting the lead on her, forget it! This was starting to test us especially as parents of a toddler. Paul’s programme was fun, informative and most importantly effective. We worked with Jake during a number of 1:1 sessions and looked forward to joining Paul on the weekly zoom call. The importance of play, crate training and building relationships was easy to follow and Ida enjoyed the learning. Ida’s recall is now (pretty much) perfect. She can work alongside cattle, horses and even rabbits with complete control off lead, which for a mad spaniel is incredible! Thank you to Paul and Jake who have made our lives, and as importantly Ida’s life so much better. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend LLC.

We were struggling with our little Norfolk Terrier, Goethe. He was reactive towards other dogs and had a high prey drive. When he was triggered, he wouldn’t just bark; he would scream. Because of this, Goethe was never let off-leash. It just didn’t feel safe or manageable. He also barked incessantly out the window at everything and anything. We were always on edge, and he seemed to be as well. Eventually, we reached an acceptance stage. We thought there was no way we could change his behaviour. We’d tried purely positive reinforcement, and we’d also tried slip leads. There was some improvement over time, but he remained unpredictable. Nothing quite clicked. Then we started working with The Loose Lead Club as a last resort, and it couldn’t have gone any better. Our trainer was Jake, and he was patient, knowledgeable and supportive throughout the entire 8-week programme. The approach was steady and structured. From the very beginning, boundaries were clearly set with Goethe, and each week we added a new tool to build on the last. It was about progress, not quick fixes. By the end of the programme, we had Goethe off-leash in busy parks. Before, this would have been unimaginable. He used to bolt straight for the biggest dog around or steal footballs from anyone playing nearby. Now, we have a real connection. Even when he’s far away from me, he checks in and listens. The training has helped me communicate clearly with him and helped him understand what I’m asking for. He’s gained so much more freedom because of it, and I feel confident giving him that freedom. One of the best parts of the programme was the ongoing communication. Jake was always available when we had questions or concerns. Each week we would learn something new and practise it, and if we ever felt stuck or unsure, we could reach out. No question was ever treated like a silly one, and the guidance we got was always clear and supportive. If you feel like you’ve tried everything and nothing has worked, I can’t recommend The Loose Lead Club enough. Both Jake and Paul are incredibly approachable and friendly. The programme is structured to adapt to your dog and your situation, making it highly effective for a wide variety of behavioural issues. It’s completely changed life with Goethe.
